Little League Tournament Proof of Residency

Dear Little League District Administrators:

In preparation for the 2011 tournament season, District Administrators are reminded that a clarification has been provided regarding the Feb. 1 date for proof of residency. The 2010 District 5 tournament brackets have been released.  Check back daily for updates and scores on the D5 – Tournaments tab.

Tournament Manager Meetings

The 2010 district 5 Tournament Manager meetings will be held on Saturday June 19th at Thunderbird Little League.  These are mandatory meetings for all Tournament managers and coaches. The Softball Meeting will start at 2:00 PM and the Baseball meeting will start at 3:00 PM.

Tournament draws will be determined and brackets released at this meeting.

Junior Baseball Tournament

We had a very successful tournament again this year.  We had a great championship game with elements of everything we saw during the tournament.  A large lead, a huge comeback, some walks, some errors, some homeruns, but most of all… great sportsmanship by both teams.  With that, we congratulate the Altamont Dodgers who came away with a 15-10 victory.  A great big hand for the Altamont Cubs, who I think it is fair to say, enjoyed the all Altamont final along with the Dodgers  There were many friends playing against each other, but the intensity level was high.  In the final inning alone, there were some outstanding defensive plays that would have made the ESPN highlight reel.  There were three home runs in the game, and not one of them was even close, they were huge blasts, with one ending up in centerfield of the Machine Pitch field.
