February 2009 President’s Meeting Minutes

Registration numbers and how many teams each league has participating in all divisions were discussed.  Opening Day and start dates for each league were also discussed.

The Town Hall Meeting will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2009, at McKinley Middle School cafeteria from 1-4 p.m.  We are lucky enough to be one of five sites to host this meeting.  The subject being discussed will be softball.  Please invite all managers, coaches, players, parents, umpires, and league officials, anyone who has any concerns, suggestions, or comments.

Pre-Season Jamboree – Altamont and Roadrunner will be the sites where these games will be played.  These games will not be full-length games in order to accommodate all teams wishing to participate.

Safety Plans – As a district, we are shooting for a March 31^st deadline to have your plans into Williamsport.  Please get your safety officer going on this.  Last year we had 100% participation from our district, let’s do it again!

Interleague Meeting will be Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Manzano Mesa Community Center at 7:00 p.m.  Schedules will be handed out at that time.  All managers and coaches should attend.  As soon as your league has drafted your teams please call or email Chris Hughes with your team names, manager’s names, phone numbers, and email address.  When you have this information please include which teams want to participate in the pre-season jamboree.

Next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at Roadrunner Little League.
