New Mexico District 5 Little League

The District Administrators for New Mexico Little League Baseball recently proposed and passed a measure requiring any league wishing to host a state tournament to have certified umpires. The requirement can be acheived one of two ways.

1. Any umpire wishing to call games during tournament must complete the regional umpire training or have completed it in the past three calendar years and have a certificate of completion.

OR

1. Be trained by a certified umpire.

As far as I know, I am the only certified umpire in District 5. So, if anyone is interested in hosting a State Tournament it will be mandatory to attend the regional umpire school (to see the schedule for classes check the regional website). Otherwise contact me to arrange for an umpire clinic.
